Step-by-Step Verification
- Donate $1 or more to a project in an official Gitcoin Grants round at grants.gitcoin.co .
- Wait for the 4-week verification delay after the round concludes.
- Navigate to the Passport App and connect the wallet used for the donation.
- Select the Gitcoin Stamp.
- Manually claim the stamp once the verification period has passed.
- The stamp will be added to your Passport.
Verification Delay
There is a 4-week delay between making a qualifying donation and being able to claim the stamp. This delay allows the Gitcoin Grants round to finalize and verify all contributions.
Important Notes
- Manual claim required — The Gitcoin Stamp is not automatically applied. You must return to the Passport App after the verification delay and manually claim it.
- Official rounds only — Donations must be made through official Gitcoin Grants rounds. Donations to independent or community-run rounds may not qualify.
- 90-day validity — After claiming, the stamp is valid for 90 days before it needs to be re-verified.
Troubleshooting
- Stamp not available — Ensure the 4-week verification delay has passed since the round concluded.
- Donation not recognized — Confirm you donated $1 or more to an official Gitcoin Grants round using the same wallet connected to your Passport.
- Round not qualifying — Not all Gitcoin rounds are eligible. Only official rounds count toward this stamp.
