What is Unique Humanity?
Unique Humanity is a verification system that ensures digital identities represent actual, distinct individuals. It works by aggregating evidence from multiple sources to produce a confidence score.
How It Works
- Stamps from web2 and web3 sources — Users verify credentials from providers like GitHub, Google, government ID services, on-chain activity, and more.
- Score calculation — Your score is the sum of the weights assigned to each verified Stamp.
- Threshold-based access — Applications set a minimum score to gate access, ensuring participants are real people.
Applications
Unique Humanity verification is used across many contexts:
- Funding distribution — Ensuring that grants and quadratic funding go to real contributors.
- Governance — Preventing Sybil attacks on DAO votes and community decisions.
- Community protection — Keeping communities free of bots and fake accounts.
